3D ENVIRONMENT ARTIST
Umbra Dynamics | Dundee / Hybrid / UK Remote | Full-time or Project-based
WHAT YOU’LL DO
We’re building convincing, performant outdoor worlds in Unity and need a 3D Environment Artist to own them end-to-end
— from reference and blockout through to polished in-engine delivery.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Strong portfolio of environment / world-building work
- Solid experience with Blender and Unity
- Good grasp of modelling, UVs, materials, texturing and optimisation
- Proven ability creating natural / outdoor environments
- Understanding of real-time rendering constraints
- Strong eye for scale, composition, lighting, colour and environmental storytelling
- Comfortable owning your work and shipping it
NICE TO HAVE
* Unity terrain and vegetation workflows
* Photogrammetry or scanned data experience
* Substance Painter / Designer, Shader Graph
* Procedural environment techniques
* Profiling and optimisation for PC / mobile
* Interest in simulation, sports or data-driven games
