The role, as advertised by Supersolid
Role
- The Producer runs delivery for the Cook & Merge core team and reports to the Product Owner. The Product Owner decides what we build and in what order, the Producer takes charge of delivery; making sure it can actually be built in the time we have, working out dependencies across disciplines with the team, keeping the team at a sensible capacity, and flagging early when the plan and the capacity don't match.
- The role works day to day with development disciplines, marketing, customer support and studio stakeholders, and is the person everyone asks when they want to know where something stands.
The ideal candidate for this role is;
- Proactive; surfaces problems before they land on the release
- Follows through; owned actions get resolved
- Calm under incident pressure, organised rather than loud
- Treats AI tools as tools; useful, fallible, never a substitute for checking the work
Responsibilities
- Oversee agile processes, including sprint scheduling and capacity planning. Ensure efficient creation and management of JIRA tickets, sprints and release versions
- Act as scrum master day to day and own key sprint artefacts and meetings
- Manage tickets and track team velocity and individual capacity, following up with over-capacity team members before escalating
- Identify and resolve dependencies and blockers, managing both live incidents and in-development issue
- Work with discipline and feature leads to ensure features and content for upcoming releases are appropriately resourced, have associated tasks and timelines, and are achievable within the available capacity for the associated release, resolving potential issues or escalating to the PO where necessary
- Manage & optimise existing processes, documentation and team workflow
- Identify production workflows suited to AI tooling, pilot them, document them and roll out with appropriate review steps
- Produce stakeholder status reports and maintain release readiness tracking through RC phase
- Cover and assist in release management and localisation processes as required
Requirements
- 3+ years producing or project managing a live mobile F2P game
- Hands-on Agile and Jira experience (sprints, versions, boards, dashboards, JQL, basic admin) for a multi-discipline team
- Track record of shipping on a fixed release cadence, including RC phases and phased store rollouts
- Clear, brief written communication
- Comfortable negotiating scope and resourcing with discipline leads; escalates early with option
- Daily working use of an LLM assistant (Claude, ChatGPT or similar) for writing, summarising and structuring work, with the judgement to know when output needs checking
Superpowers
- Merge or casual puzzle genre experience
- Exposure to localisation pipelines and iOS/Android store submission
- Basic analytics literacy (velocity charts, burn-down, KPI dashboards)
- Has worked with AI assistants connected to JIRA, Confluence or Slack and built reusable workflows, prompts or skills on it
