About Roblox
Roblox is an online platform on which people create, share and play games and experiences made by other users. Founded in 2004 by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel and launched publicly in 2006, the company is headquartered in San Mateo, California, and also has an office in London.
Most experiences on Roblox are made by its community of creators using Roblox Studio and the Luau scripting language, and the platform's economy runs on its virtual currency, Robux. Roblox's own staff build and run the platform rather than individual games, so its roles are weighted towards software engineering, security, trust and safety, product management, data science and developer relations.
