Star Citizen is one of the most ambitious games ever made, as Senior Marketing Director, you'll own the strategy, the team, and the story we tell the world. This is a rare opportunity to lead marketing for a game with a fiercely passionate global community.

You'll share a marketing team with Squadron 42 through a small group of senior leads -- and work side by side with our CMO to shape how Star Citizen grows.

What does a Senior Marketing Director at CIG do?

• Own the global marketing strategy for Star Citizen -- from long-range planning to live campaigns that land
• Lead and inspire the marketing team through a small group of senior leads across Community, Brand, Social, Creative, Content, Sales & Revenue, and Production
• Drive new player acquisition and audience growth -- developing strategies that bring new audiences into the Star Citizen universe and convert interest into engagement
• Retain and deepen the relationship with our existing community -- understanding what keeps them invested, spending, and talking about the game
• Own the commercial marketing calendar -- maximising key moments throughout the year
• Be a true partner to senior leadership, connecting marketing activity to commercial goals and release milestones
• Set the bar for campaign planning and execution -- ensuring everything we put out is bold, consistent, and worth talking about
• Own the marketing budget and report clearly on performance, spend and ROI
• Be the guardian of the Star Citizen brand -- owning positioning, messaging and how we show up for our global audience
• Stay sharp on market trends, competitor activity and community sentiment -- and use that knowledge to keep us ahead
• Build strong relationships with agencies, launch partners and external stakeholders to drive results

What do we expect from our Senior Marketing Director?

• Significant experience leading marketing at a senior level from a community-first perspective, ideally in games or entertainment
• A track record of growing audiences and driving new player acquisition -- you know how to bring people in, not just speak to those already converted
• Experience with live service or community-led titles -- you understand the difference between marketing a launch and sustaining a living game
• Strong people leadership experience -- you build great teams, develop talent, and raise the standard around you
• Proven ability to lead at scale
• Genuine commercial ownership -- comfortable holding revenue responsibility and making decisions that balance growth with community trust
• Deep expertise across brand, integrated marketing, content, community and campaign delivery
• Comfortable in the room with exec stakeholders and confident making the case for bold ideas
• Data-savvy with strong commercial instincts -- you know what's working and what isn't
• A genuine love of games and an interest in what we're building at CIG
• Calm under pressure, highly organised, and energised by a fast-moving environment
