Role overview: 

The PlayStation Store is a multibillion-dollar global digital commerce platform at the center of how players discover, buy, and enjoy content - and this role turns commercial priorities into a coherent, executable trading plan.  As the Trading Planning Lead , you will build the Store's integrated trading plan, joining launches, promotions, pricing, catalogue, lifecycle, and real-world moments into a clear roadmap with defined outcomes, owners, and dependencies.   

This individual-contributor role reports to the Senior Manager, Planning & Proposition and works across Trading Optimisation, Catalogue Planning, Promotions & Experimentation, Finance, Monetisation, , Merchandising & Editorial, Insights & Analytics, and regional teams. You will provide a trusted source of truth for priorities, decisions, and execution readiness.   

You will work closely with the Trading Performance Lead, connecting performance opportunities and risks into forward looking plans, spot conflicts and risks early to escalate through trading governance, and improve the tools and governance that help global teams deliver together.   

What you’ll be doing:

• Build the integrated 360 trading plan
  • Convert commercial strategy, title roadmaps, promotions, pricing actions, lifecycle activity, and major events into an outcome-focused weekly, monthly, and quarterly Store plan. 
• Run the trading planning rhythm
  • Coordinate all planning inputs and materials for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews; maintain decisions, actions, owners, and due dates; track follow-through and escalate blockers to closure.
• Maintain the planning source of truth
  • Keep the central planning sheet, master calendar, priority sheets, and understand dependencies so teams can plan capacity and execute from consistent information. 
• Connect performance to future plans
  • Partner with the Trading Performance Lead, Insights & Analytics and Finance to surface performance drivers, risks, and trends; feed actuals and post-mortem learning into forecast assumptions, prioritisation, and the next trading cycle. 
• Drive prioritisation and trade-offs
  • Identify collisions across launches, promotions, real-world events, and customer journeys; assess commercial impact and readiness; present clear options and recommendations to Store leaders. 
• Coordinate delivery and improve ways of working
  • Align Trading, Catalogue Planning, Merchandising, Pricing, LTV, Monetisation, Marketing, Store Build, and regional teams; improve intake, SLAs, automation, and governance to reduce rework and increase speed. 

What we’re looking for:

• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in trading, commercial planning, programme management, ecommerce, or business operations within a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. 
• Practical experience building integrated plans and running weekly, monthly, and quarterly trading or commercial planning cycles. 
• Strong commercial and analytical capability, with confidence using revenue, conversion, engagement, margin, and customer KPIs to prioritise work and recommend action. 
• Excellent programme-management discipline, including management of milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, action logs, and planning tools. 
• Proven cross-functional leadership and ability to influence stakeholders across global and local teams without relying on formal authority. 
• Clear written, verbal, and visual communication, with the ability to turn complex inputs into concise plans and decision-ready trading materials. 
• A resilient, adaptable, and outcome-focused mindset, with strong ownership, attention to detail, and sound judgement under pressure.   

Desirable: 

• Experience in digital commerce, games, media, marketplaces, or another high-volume content or subscription environment. 
• Working knowledge of promotions, pricing, merchandising, catalogue planning, and content lifecycle activity. 
• Experience partnering with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and performance-to-plan reviews. 
• Hands-on experience with experimentation, post-mortems, and data-led decision-making in a trading environment.
