Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys have spent over a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile and VR gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including: Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War; and we’re now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we’ve done previously!

As a forward thinking and innovative studio we are always looking for new technologies and techniques to develop and use in our games and make them even more engaging experiences for our customers.

We are excited to continue to grow our team and are always on the lookout for highly talented and motivated individuals, who are passionate about gaming and excited to join us on our ambitious journey!

The Role:

Join us as a Senior Programmer and drive the technical quality, stability, and performance of our games within the engineering department. Leveraging your deep technical expertise, you will own and drive the planning and architectural development of whole features and complex systems, with an initial primary focus toward audio-related systems.

Working alongside other engineers and cross-functional discipline leads, you will translate creative intent into highly performant game systems, ensuring our titles sound as breathtaking as they look while running smoothly on mobile hardware.

Your day-to-day will involve taking full ownership of profiling and optimising critical code, creating clear, thorough technical designs, and seeking feedback to guarantee feature quality and stability. You will act as a guardian of technical standards across the game, performing constructive code reviews, identifying performance bottlenecks, and mitigating technical risks long before they can impact production schedules.

Working within Unity and C#, you will champion coding best practices and advocate for new engine technologies where beneficial, while continuously expanding your technical scope in C# .NET and AWS to share insights that elevate and educate the entire engineering team.
